Who Are We?
What Does It Mean To Be American?
What Ties Bind Us Together-One Nation Under God?
The Utah Minuteman Project submit that we Americans are a Nation, unique and distinct from any other. We are not just producers and consumers at the trough of the world economy. Our national identity is not defined, as the internationalist, open border advocates assert on the Left and the Right, by our relationship with the means of production. Nor are we defined by any race, color, ethnicity, national origin or religion. Our identity as one Nation under God is defined by our history, founding principles and our institutions:
1. Allegiance to the Constitution and the Rule of Law
2. Devotion to Equality under that Law
3. Our Judeo-Christian Heritage
4. Our English language
5. Tolerance
These are the ties that bind, the threads of the common weal that in their combination form the Social Contract and set us apart from the rest of the world. These are why we Minutemen stand against the Fourth World Invasion of our country. Illegal migration, especially from Mexico, directly undermines and threatens what has historically bound us together and what defines us as Americans today.
